GalMax™ NPR Black Galvanising Paint
GalMax™ NPR (No Primer Required) Black Galvanising Paint provides direct to metal corrosion protection, with or without primer, and dries to a smooth and durable rust fighting finish. It can be used extensively in the maintenance and restoration of damaged or worn galvanised metal, and for corrosion protection of steel/iron structures or equipment.
GalMax™ NPR offers excellent adhesion to most metals, and can be used on concrete and ceramics, as well as other interior and exterior surfaces. Common applications include radiators and industrial mufflers, roads and bridges, fences and pipes, metal roofs, and offshore rigs.
Note: For long-term and added protection on fresh welds or in coastal environments, priming the surface with GalMax™ 90 or GalMax™ 93 Cold Galvanising Paints or Zinc Oxide Primers (Grey or Red) is recommended prior to application.
DESCRIPTION GalMax™ NPR Coloured Galvanising Paint provides direct to metal corrosion protection, with or without primer, and dries to a smooth and durable rust fighting finish. It can be used extensively in the maintenance and restoration of damaged or worn galvanised metal, and for corrosion protection of steel and iron structures or equipment. GalMax™ NPR offers excellent adhesion to most metals, and can be used on concrete and ceramics, as well as other interior and exterior surfaces. Common uses include radiators and industrial mufflers, roads and bridges, fences, pipes, metal roofs, and offshore rigs. Note: For long-term and added protection on fresh welds or in coastal environments, priming the surface with any GalMax™ Cold Galvanising Paint or Zinc Oxide Primer is recommended prior to application. APPLICATION Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants, removing all scale and rust as far as possible before application. Do not use acidic rust converters or removers. Do not paint over loose or unsound surfaces. Drying times are temperature dependent. Aerosol: Invert the can and shake well for at least one minute. Shake often during use. Hold the can upright and angle the fan jet for a horizontal or vertical pattern. Apply in even sweeping strokes approximately 250mm to 300mm from the surface. Apply several light coats a few minutes apart rather than one heavy coat. After spraying, invert the can and press the nozzle to clear the jet. If blocked, use fuse wire and mineral turps to clean the nozzle. Bulk Liquid: Before use, stir contents thoroughly for 5 minutes using a flat stirrer with a circular, lifting motion. Stir occasionally during use. Apply 2 coats for optimum protection by brush, roller, or sp
